Adult Group
Lessons - The Beginner
Series
- Golf 101 -
Three one-hour lessons to introduce our great game. Golf 101
will expose the absolute beginner to basic swing fundamentals and
golf terminology and prepare the student for further private
instruction or advancement into Golf 201. Instructors use a
building-block approach to learn the correct swing mechanics and
create a repetitive swing. This series is a must for anyone wanting
to enter the game the right way.
The three one-hour lesson package is $75.00.
- Golf 201 -
For the recent Golf 101 graduates up
to anyone considering himself or herself still a beginner, we offer
this five one-hour lesson package. Golf 201 provides the student
with the most comprehensive understanding of the golf swing
available by utilizing the Academy original concept of "timely
teaching". If you can tell time, you can understand this manner of
describing a correct and efficient golf swing. This five
one-hour lesson package is $125.00.

Private
Lessons
|
For those that prefer
one-on-one attention, private lessons are
available. These half hour lessons with our PGA
professionals identify problem areas in the
student's swing and offer corrections through proper
use of training drills and state-of-the-art teaching
aids.
Available by
appointment, the cost varies. $50.00 for our PGA
Master Professional and the Director of Instruction,
$45.00 for our PGA Class A Professionals and $35.00
for our PGA Apprentice Professionals. Discounted
series are available.

Junior
Lessons
St. Andrews Junior Group Instruction
Program has introduced the game to literally thousands of young golfers
over the years. Designed to help the beginner or the competitive
junior, the program has produced many a high school player as well as
the recreational player seeking a correct "swing for life". Emphasizing
a complete understanding of the spirit of the game, fun, etiquette and
rules share equal importance with swing fundamentals.

- Junior Golf First-Swing Program
- An outstanding first contact with the game of golf, our First
Swing Program offers information and instruction on getting started
the right way. Our trained golf professionals guide the beginning
junior through the basic areas of safety, etiquette, swing
fundamentals and scoring. Each class meets for one hour on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday afternoons for one week. Golf clubs and balls
are provided during the lesson at no charge. The fee for the
three one-hour sessions is $40.00.
- Second Swing Program - This
is our next step towards getting ready to play golf with emphasis on
repetition of the golf swing. This class is for juniors wanting to
get more hitting experience and also work on the short game. Each
class meets for one hour on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for one
week. Golf clubs and balls are provided during lesson at no
charge. The fee for the three one hour sessions is $50.00.

- Basic Junior Series - This
series is an excellent program for the beginner as well as the more
experienced junior golfer. Students are grouped according to ages:
Age Group A are golfers 7 to 10 years of age. Age Group B are 11 -
16 years of age. The program meets five times over a 2 1/2 week
period. Classes are one hour in length and are held on Mondays and
Wednesdays, or Tuesday and Thursdays. The last lesson will be
taught on the course. Completion of the Basic Junior Series
qualifies the golfer for the Junior Players School. Many juniors
take this series again to continue swing development. The cost
for this series is $100.00 for the five one-hour lessons.

Junior
Players School
The next step in our junior instructional
program is the Junior Players School. The golfer is placed in a
friendly, yet competitive, environment in an attempt to create and
nurture competitive play. Instruction is structured as supervised
practice. As with all junior instruction, the spirit of the game,
etiquette and integrity are taught as well as swing mechanics and course
management strategies. Skills assessments are taken at the beginning
and end of each month to measure golfer's progress and identify key
areas for improvement. This assessment summarizes the golfer's overall
golf game and assists in establishing personalized practice plans. The
enrollment fee includes two rounds of golf. Cost - $159.00 per
month.
